"That time of the semester where you have to reduce Netflix to only 2 instead of 8 hours a day"
"Reward yourself with something nice you can look forward to whilst drowning in flashcards to learn"
One pretty big thing for me when being stressed is that I have something nice to do in the future. Book a flight to Ibiza or festival tickets, or just have a date night with your girls the night after your last exam. Whatever you like to do, you need to reward yourself with something nice you can look forward to whilst drowning in flashcards to learn. So this year I was lucky enough that Eminem (my favorite artist ever) announced his European Tour Dates and I got myself some tickets. So I know I will have a great time when the semester is over. Bonus: it motivates me a lot, because I would feel guilty if I bought something expensive like that and not "earning" it by learning like crazy.
"There are things more important than grades"
And now, a really deep heads up for everyone: I know, sometimes it seems like your life could be ruined by failing at that extremely important one exam and the pressure is really high to make it through with an A+. And this may sound really obvious and kinda cheesy, but there are things more important than grades in life. First of all, grades aren't everything when you go out into the real world. A job may be offered to you because you have great soft skills or you present yourself a certain way. Most of the time grades aren't a factor at all. Also there are times where you rethink the importance of exam scores, because you suddenly remember what's really important to life. In the last days a girl of my old dancing crew passed away at the age of 29 years. Although we weren't close friends, we spent a lot of time together in the past and she was a super sweet and honest person. I was shocked and sad and it made me forget all my first world problems. Suddenly I had a clear vision of what matters in life. To be happy, to be around your loved ones and to be proud of your character and the person you are. Which is definitely not defined by grades.
